For the privacy and safety of you and/or your sailor, NO LAST NAMES ARE ALLOWED, even if your last name differs from that of your sailor (please make sure your URL address does not include your last name either). Also, please do not include your email address in your user name. Go to "Settings" above to set your Username. While there, complete your Profile so you can post and share photos and videos of your Sailor and share stories with other moms!

Join groups! Browse for groups for your PIR date, your sailor's occupational specialty, "A" school, assigned ship, homeport city, your own city or state, and a myriad of other interests. Jump in and introduce yourself! Start making friends that can last a lifetime.

OPSEC - Navy Operations Security
Always keep Navy Operations Security in mind. In the Navy, it's essential to remember that "loose lips sink ships." OPSEC is everyone's responsibility.
DON'T post critical information including future destinations or ports of call; future operations, exercises or missions; deployment or homecoming dates.
DO be smart, use your head, always think OPSEC when using texts, email, phone, and social media, and watch this video: "Importance of Navy OPSEC."

**UPDATE 4/26/2022** Effective with the May 6, 2022 PIR 4 guests will be allowed. Still must be fully vaccinated to attend.
**UPDATE as of 11/10/2022 PIR vaccination is no longer required.
**UPDATE 7/29/2021** You now must be fully vaccinated in order to attend PIR:
In light of observed changes and impact of the Coronavirus Delta Variant and out of an abundance of caution for our recruits, Sailors, staff, and guests, Recruit Training Command is restricting Pass-in-Review (recruit graduation) to ONLY fully immunized guests (14-days post final COVID vaccination dose).

New Corpsman Beginning A-School in San Antonio on June 10th
Hello! Are there any parents of Sailors beginning A-School in San Antonio, TX on June 10th? My daughter graduated from boot camp on May 24th of May. I was just wondering if any other parents had Sailors in the same class.

My daughter has already been through A school and is stationed now at Camp Lejuene. I could not find anyone when I first posted, however, I went back to the FB site where her Boot Camp Group was and just posted in the Division. I went to School in San Antonio, so I was familiar with Fort Sam. Her Dorm's are VERY NICE. They are very new...At first I was in FREAKOUT Mode to think this 21 year old CHILD of mine was going to be in San Antonio alone, however, the groups they are in really bussy up and take good care of each other. I told my Sarah some ground rules before she left, and one of them was to get a female buddy and NEVER go downtown without her. I also told her no marriage in A school...that happens a lot because they have been in Boot Camp and finally get some sense of Freedom. Unless your Daughter has a car, she would have to get a ride or walk to the BX on base. The Medical Clinics are right across he street from the dorms. They keep them so busy, they really have holidays and weekends to do anything. We visited while I was down there for business and stayed close to the Airport, we went to Sea World and that was a blast, as Military members get in Free. She will also be right next to the Air Force Dorm of Medical Group, they have their own classes. Hi Hanna,
My son will be going to A school soon do you know what airport they left out of after bc? Trying to coordinate my trip so I can spend as much time with him. Did she have to go through the field medic training as well? From what I read a lot of the male recruits go that route wasn't sure if they had no choice. Glad to hear your daughter is doing well.
