Also, will be taking a shuttle to the PIR from my hotel. Do I need to download the gate pass or is that just for vehicles?
My son's PIR is 11 May. I had read on another group here that there are some "meet and greet" gatherings at some of the hotels near the base. Does anyone know of any for the weekend of 11 May? I am going to be at a Quality Inn. Thanks!
I'm going to see my son next week! I've never been to California...looking forward to the trip to say the least. I will google "city of.." when I get home this evening. Thanks for the info.
It takes a military pass to get in the gate. Yes, he'll need to meet you there to get in. Beautiful post. Have a great visit and tell us all about it on return!
Smom, how long has your son been at DLI? My daughter is going there in June after her PIR on 06/08. I would love to hear from you after your trip.
Enjoy your time with him.
Hi all. I just now found this page and my son has been in DLI since last July '11. His class is really long and he doesn't graduate until February of next year. I've already had the painful experience of driving his car all the way from San Antonio Tx to Monterey during New Years, what a killer drive! We spent like 3 days there and got to stay in the Naval Post Graduate School lodging. What an amazing place to stay, highly recommend it to anyone visiting Montery. Anyway, glad to find this group and will continue to read and hopefully post. Have a great day all :)
Anybody here have someone with PIR of 11 May?
can any one confirm to me that Monterrey's A school for CTI is real? I look at many Navy boards and they don't list a CTI group at Monterrey for A school - so I thought that maybe it was called something else
