Hi Debbie,
Yeah, my son also lives in the new ones. They are great and have a fully stick kitchenette, with above range convection oven. We even cooked a full course Thanksgiving meal in the room. He finally graduates in a couple of weeks and has been designated to give the speech :-) can't wait to go to the ceremony, I am so proud of him, and then it's on to Georgia, YEH.

Thanks for all your feedback!  I am still keeping my eyes open but I'm feeling Fort Ord housing would really be worth considering!

My son finally finishes all his Aircrew classes today. 4 extra schools he had to go to before heading for Ft. Gordon- his duty station. He's been tortured, interrogated and excercised to tears.  Now he can meet up with all his friends from DLI. He's really happy about that.  Now it's time for me to get nervous b/c he has orders for deployment and I'm not a fan of where he's going. :-(  I learned a lot while being a guest of the Aircrew moms pages- I know DLI is a very difficult program, but apparently those aircrew hopefuls get put through the ringer as well. Who knew.

See, that is great. My husband and I lived the same way when we were in the service, while stationed in Panama and Key West. While living in housing we pretty much lived off one pay check and saved a lot. That the advantage of dual military. Both members get BAH at the without dependents rate. Once they have a baby, one receives BAH at With Dependant rate and the other at the Without.
