Oh my God! that Super 8 must have a glitch in their program! I went on the website to book and it gave me a price of $3400 for my 5 nights!! Oh boy. I called a Ramada down the road and the guy there told me there is a jazz festival going on so the prices are taking a big jump that week. Just my luck. I can't believe it. But thank you, Dee- I'm going to call them to ask them what in the world their REAL prices are, b/c it certainly can't be that much for 5 nights.
does anyone know of a hotel in the area that is not >$200/night?? I called to make my reservations to Navy Lodge and the are booked!! So, desperate, I called a few other hotels in the area...BOOKED! Now I'm starting to get nervous b/c we already have airfare which cost almost $2000 and I'm going to have to spend $1000 just for a room!! Ugh! He graduates next month.
Debbie in MD thank you so much for the great info!! Right now my focus is on PIR, on 8/24. After that, he has to get thru DLI. I know it's hard. He's very smart and very determined. I'll be checking in with everyone! I really appreciate it!
@ Debbie's husband. Do you know , is an EP3 the same as a P3? I liked the Wikipedia page, thanks!
My SR is still in boot camp. He's PIR is 8/24!! He signed for CTI. In his letters he is saying that he may be Aircrew as well. I didn't know that CTI did Aircrew too. I've been reading about Aircrew and none of the ratings for Aircrew are CTI so I really don't understand. If someone does understand this and wants to shoot me a friend request it would be much appreciated!
SarahsMom- I will have to send you a friend request so that we can share info! My son leaves DLI in Sept. Funny thing.... he bought a car several months ago. He was told the Navy will pay to have it sent to his assigned home base. Now, he has 3 more schools in 3 different states to go to, instead of just going straight to Georgia. So,he will be driving from Cali to Fla. and then back to San Diego and then Washington state and finally I think then he can have the car sent to Georgia!!! That is A LOT of driving!!
My DLI is talking Aircrew as well. Anxious to hear what that entails..
So, I haven't been able to chat with a mom of a sailor in Aircrew (CTI). I found an aircrew site (lots of new initials I can't make out- haha) and can't find anyone who knows of a CTI in Aircrew. I met a 'sonar guy' mom; a 'radar guy' mom etc but no CTI mom. Just wondering if there are any CTI Aircrew moms out there?
