My Son did have a car, it was a good thing ... the base is far from everything and it's much safer for them to drive than walk to the beach and to town.  Just remind him that a ticket for speeding or any infraction off base would get him kicked out…Continue

Once a sailor fails out of CTN school and they tell him they're not recommending him to re-mediate; what happens then? Do they get any choice in where they go? Do they re-class and get their choice of jobs?

My sailor desperately wants to be a CTN, but had trouble early on with the testing. He never learned to study in his life, and thus didn't know how to prepare. Schooling K-12 came very easy to him and he never had to learn. Now he knows, but it was too late to do anything because he'd failed too many early on. He's totally bummed, but what happens next?

Comment by clockard on October 18, 2017 at 9:17am

Cellomom, he will need his own laptop for personal use only. He will not be allowed to take it to class, and he will not be allowed to use the classroom machines for personal things.

It's been eight years since my son was at Corry, but I do know that he still cannot take his personal devices in to work at NIOC Ft. Meade.

Proud new CTN Mama here!

Any recently trained CT Moms that can tell me where my CTN goes from RTC? Are there multiple Pensacola locations?

Thanks!

Everything I ever posted on here before December 18 is gone. Period. Someone deleted an entire "page" (about 50) of active members, and NING is claiming that our content cannot be retrieved. Honestly, I suspect this means they don't want to go to the effort because we all know that nothing on the Internet ever truly disappears.

This means that not only are my comments missing, but any discussions I started are gone which includes all comments, not only mine. It is very strange to see conversations where I am being thanked for something, but the "something" is missing.

I am using the same name as before even though that may be a little confusing. It still shows "clockard" as the group creator, but it isn't a live link because that member was deleted. I don't think I can get reinstated as the creator, but I am supposedly still waiting for group admin privileges. Sigh...

Whatever you are celebrated at this time of year, I hope it is happy!

I can't believe it!! I was deleted! I rejoined using the same name, but "I" am no longer the creator of this group. Apparently.

Posting to keep this group active...
“Deleting inactive members - The ad agency that handles N4M is in the process of updating the site. If you have not been active since 12/1/15 you will be deleted to make room for new members. You will be able to re-join. If you don't want to be deleted you will need to post something in any one of your groups to activate your account. They have already started deleting members.”

Is there someone who has a Sailor who has been through ION that may be able to answer a few questions I have regarding orders, stationing, etc? You can add me as a friend and PM me, if so. Thanks!
