momoffour once your son gets situated on the ship he can email from his ship address. Then you can email back and forth from it with you. I think my son only emailed from his ship email. And once they are off or change ships there email is different. Just remember he won't be able to tell you where they are or when they will be back. We set up a code with my son so we know where they were.

I saw the post about email. My son leaves for his first deployment in a few weeks and I just assumed I could email him on his regular gmail account. Is that not correct?I also realized that if something happens to family while he is gone, I know only his rank and and rate. I recently helped two families call from the hospital where I work due to critical family illness and they asked alot more questions then those two lol!  Showed my husband the article, of course he loved it!

I believe that. I my sailor heard rumors that the Air Force is not going to train at Corry anymore because its facilities/food were not up to up to their standards. I don't know when/if this is supposed to happen.

boiler - I haven't been to Goodfellow in a long time, however, when I was there the base facilities were awesome.  The Air Force always does this stuff right.  I remember at the Galley someone said "Just leave your plate at the table, the civilians will pick it up".  Geez, I felt like I was in a restaurant.  

Just curious, when I went, we flew from Dallas to San Angelo.  Do they still use a small turboprop airplane?  I remember having to crawl to my seat.  You couldn't stand up.  How does the sailors get there now?

My son is on his first deployment as a CTT. Just wondering if anyone can tell me what the SN stands for as part of his CTTSN title. When I mail him something I am supposed to address it that way. Just curious? They set up his email within the first week and been able to send/receive emails. So reassuring!

CRF - I only feel like the roster in the hen house on the Chicken Ship forum.  Geez, those ladies on that forum make me blush sometimes.  Ok, that a bunch of bs, but I will admit that Sexual Harassment on that forum will not be reported, but it will be graded.  I need a place to chill after talking Navy 24x7 and that place hits the spot.  Except, they always are post hot guys.  Geez, sometimes N4M is too estrogen enriched.  ~ha

I do agree that the NavyDad's site is way too slow.  But what I really don't like is it's always seems like a dang d*ck measuring contest (for lack of a better word).  A lot of guys want to prove they know more than the others.  I'm not into that.  All I'm here for is to provide help to those that don't understand the Navy, and want to learn the un-sugarcoated version.  However, it's a two way street, I learn quite a bit from this website and pass that information on to the deppers on my website.  Just like yesterday, I had know idea that they are issuing back packs in boot camp now.

Mr.Mom - Glad to have extra testosterone here.  But to keep the balance of power you need to jab at the ladies a little to keep them spun up.  So I'll throw in one now:
