BZ to him navymom3  what is his rate again?  I know you told me before.  My son arrived at Ft Meade on Sunday and getting settled in   While he is waiting for his provisional clearance to get completed, he is going to be part of the Honor Guard there   He was having fun exploring the area  He went with some of his friends from Corry Station to the Inner Harbor in Baltimore Monday

He should be able to select which orders he wants since he's #1 in the class.  That would be really cool!  Select Hawaii!

Just found out my son is still the top of his A school class with 98.77 average. So proud of him. He said he pulled ahead more after today's test. He said they only have 2 more units left. Now just waiting on his orders to see where he will go in 4 weeks.

My sailor is saying that the shipboard training is difficult- harder for him than A school. Any one hear that from their sailors?

Tmom- I think they all call it the Ghetto barracks because it is one of the oldest barracks. It doesn't look that bad from the outside. They are not allowed to have people in there room so we did not get to see the inside. But if he started out at NAS like my son did they do not look as nice as the ones at NAS. Our son did give us a tour of Corry this time and it isn't as nice as NAS but then it isn't as big either. But it will do since they are only there for training. I ca't believe my son only has 4 more weeks. He grads CTM A school on Sept 16th. I will be there if anyone needs pics of there sailor.

Thanks for the info. I'll tell him about the BEQ manager. He's the type of kid that will never say anything no matter how I've tried in his life  to get him to speak up about things.  Navymom3, I didn't know if "ghetto barrack" was just what he called it but  now I guess not. That's awful.   Since you were there what's it like?

Rorysmom makes me feel better it's not due to being dirty.  I was feeling so bad for him.
