clockard - I bet you will see alot more CT sailors going thru indoc at NAS. My nephew is graduating with 14 divisions in boot camp on Sept 2nd. I've never seen that many division graduate. Corry just doesn't have the room for them, and what better place to do indoc while your just waiting....

Linda~ You might appreciate this. For others, Olongapo Philippines, among other things, is known for cloning singers voices. There was a 70's group called "Journey". The lead singer was Steve Perry. Perry quit Journey to start a solo career. The band knew they were in trouble without Perry. They got a temporary singer who wasn't any good. So the group started scouring youtube and hired a company to find a voice "look alike" for Perry. Much like a DNA test, only identical twins come up with 100% matches. The company kept on coming up with a singer in Olongapo named Arnel Pineda who was 100% match. They flew to Singapore where he was now performing and found he was 100%. And now, Pineda is the lead singer for Journey. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=0kxvHJAF0Ys

Sorry for the confusion, Craig...so new to this! lol! Yes,I believe my son thought he was going to Corry for Cryptology but he is still at barracks at NAS with an Aviation/flight team group from what I understand him to say...I could be wrong with my information. He is just finishing indoctrination since he just got their a week ago, so who knows. We realize it takes weeks to class up but thought he would be with other CT's. I know the "ship/address" and I believe it is NAS. He has spoke to a "commander" about this, but no one seems to know what is going on.

Craig.. yea my daugters barracks were beautiful ! Nearly flipped ! i said you in Navy or Air Force ?? LOL . shocked to see she had an iron, ironing board etc ... things change..
San Miguel... best time ever! beach and all! loved going to Olongapo & watch the groups play their music! Sounded just like the real bands! At Cubi Pt i went water skiing and saw a Marine Herrier (spell ck) for the first time!! She has no clue and upset because doesn't know anything yet.. is this normal ? i know it's early for her orders but idk about her "c" school.. she wasn't even suppose to get a "c" school to our knowledge! she's just a 4yr ! I'll letcha know! makes me feel like i'm living it all over again.. sooo happy for her.. just hope she keeps her nose clean!

rory~ I am kind of confused with your post. Are you saying he was put at NAS P-cola for billeting (barracks)? I'm kind-of lost. Can you clarify your question...

Linda~ San Miguel.. Wow, now that was a cool duty station! Because the base housing at Subic was so full, we have people live in the base housing up there. One thing I found out about 3 years ago is that we now live our Navy veteran lifes through our kids. But us veteran have no since of reality. My son called up and told me "Dad, the barracks at Corry suck". I told him "You're crazy, those are nice barracks". Well, they were 30 years prior to that...-ha
I sure my nephew will be saying the same.....
Can't wait to see what NEC your daughter gets... Just wondering if she will be an EW (Electronic Warfare) or normal CTT. Weird when they combined EW and CTT now the sea duty is quite a bit....Does she want to go to sea?

Good morning all!
Craig...my husband & I have a questions.
Son has been in Pensacola a week, will be CTT. He is confused and know one can seem to find him an answer...he was not moved with other Cryptology seamen but was kept with Aviation group. Is this usually a space issue or another reason. There has been some speculation by "higher ups" but nothing concrete....thank you.
