Just wanted to pop in and say that Corry station is a very nice base! One of the nicest bases we have ever been stationed at. We live about 15 min from base however since the area surrounding isnt so great for apartments and we have a 6 yr old and dog. Pensacola is beautiful and the beaches are amazing! My husband checks in next week and starts school two days later. Anyones sailor starting CTM school?

LindainIvorVA, What rate is your daughter going into? The CTNs don't have a C school because they Navy has merged the A & C schools and extended the length of the school. They are hoping this cuts down on the drop out rate for CTNs.

My son just got to Corry Station for A School for CTT. About how long will he be there? I keep hearing lots of different times! What usually follows A School? Thanks!

No, I do not want to spend the next two years with a cat that sits and looks at me. The expression is somewhere between "give me my sailor back" and " my breeding is better than yours!" LOL

At the moment they are telling him to get a cat carrier and find an airline that will allow the cat on board. This is a very hyper cat and we are not sure how she will do on such a long trip. Thing is, this cat hates me. She has never forgiven me for the time he was at GL and Corry station and he couldn't keep her with him.

Cheryk Lynn, My son will also be heading for Hawaii. But not until later in the Fall. He is shippping his car and hopefully his cat. I love him but I so do not want to keep that cat for 2 years.

The hold time is usualy for clearnace. Lots of things depend on that. My husbands first one took almost 3 years in the making but he is a submariner. he dosnt need to be on hold for it since he already has the upgrade. these things can be very time consuming and frustrating but worth it! :) Good luck to your saliors ladies.
