Momma V7, My oldest is a Nuke, my middle son signed a CTN contract 2 weeks ago. He doesn't leave for booth until July (has to graduate HS first). Top 2 smarty jobs in the military.

Hi all! My SR is in bc right now and has just switched his job from Nuke to CTR. He failed the eye test at boot and was declared inelligible for Nuke- he's partially colorblind but passed the test at meps. Anyway, he seems to be excited about this change. Any information you can tell me about what the job is would be great. He didn't have much time to explain to me on the phone today. ;)

Our son will be starting his A school for CTR and then will start his C school how long is the C school.

So proud of my CTI sailor. She graduated from DLI in  Feb and is doing settling in at her first duty station.

I didn't make my son's A school ceremony either, but my sister who lived close by went and took a video. It was a short ceremony basically like in a church building and just called out the names and handed out the certificate and a hand shake. There weren't very many families there. Maybe you can get some one to send pictures, and save your time for visiting when leave is available

Hi, Lisa - welcome to the group! We went to PIR because that's such a big deal and we hadn't seen him for such a long time, but we did not go to his CTN "A" school graduation. I did go to his promotion to second class. I guess it's just an individual decision.

Hello all. Just joined thus group. Doesn't look like any new postings lately so not sure I will get an answer to my question. My son is set to graduate DLI next month
He says graduation is no big deal and parents don't go to it but I also know he doesn't want us spending the money to fly out there as he will be home briefly shortly thereafter. Has anyone attended the graduation? We would be there in a hot minute if people generally attend. Anyone help me out on this?

My son just arrived at CS.   He said he's having to learn how to be a "person" again after BC.  LOL!  He is excited to begin school.
