What horrible senseless killings. The parents of the killer live here in San Diego and they sent police over to their home to escort them to Colorado. Craig wow that was such a close call, how scarey that must have been realizing that could have been your son. My thoughts and prayers go out to all that were affected by this horrible crime.
I think we lost two sailors.... They will be CT's

Wow that is way to close to home for you. So glad the midnight showing was sold out for your son. But not everyone else that was there just to have a fun night. Hopefully our service member were only in the injured group. Stay safe Craig.
Wow, what a day....
My son just flew out this morning after completing his leave. Last night he and a friend were going to go out to be the 1st ones to attend the premier of the The Dark Knight Rises movie. They wanted the 1st showing at midnight, but it was sold out. So they got the 3am showing. The theater which is 5 miles from my house is the one with today's shooting. Talking about freaking me out.... He actually came running up to my bedroom and told me to watch the tv immediately. Holy crap...
God was looking out for my family today....
Prayers to all victims of this senseless act, especially to the 2 Air Force and 1 Navy member (more than likely a CT) from my base that were shot..... God bless them all....
Craig
Thank you for the positive feedback, navymom3!
harpistmom my middle sailor is a CTM. Sometimes they can tell you they are headed out on a ship sometimes not. If you ask something he can't tell you he will say "can't tell ya that mom". My son loves the job. He finished a and c school the end of November and then went to Japan in January. He loves it there and just moved out into his own apt. Good luck to your son. Make sure you read Craig's posts for helpful info on CTM. He was a great help to my son.
My son is training to be a CTM, will be completing the basic electronic course at NTTC at the end of this week, and is scheduled to transfer to Corry Station next week to begin the second phase of training. The security clearance procedure was not that bad - a govt employee came to our house and spent about an hour or so asking about my son and verifying information he already had on record. He spoke to neighbors, high school counselor, teachers, and personal references, mainly people from church, including the youth minister. We didn't have anything to hide, as Lady Hamilton said, so it was a "painless" process. My son did say that he will not be able to tell us anything about his training after he transfers to Corry Station. He seems to be enjoying his studies. As far as I know at this point, there is nothing to be nervous about..
Thanks for the input. He has nothing to hide but just the idea of the security makes me a little nervous because of the type of job it will be. I do have to say I am sooo proud of his decision. As far as asking him anything Michael already told me he won't be able to tell me anything just that all is OK.
Hi Everyone My son is leaving for boot camp in January and his contract has him stated for CTR I'm a little nervous as it is a high security position with a lot of schooling/training. Any imput would be helpful Thanks all
Craig congratulations to your son on his award and his business! Hope he continues to have Navy success as well as business success!
