Hello everyone, I am new to this website so not sure if I'm posting in the correct area. My daughter signed her papers last week. She is currently on DEP until Oct8. My question: are all BC held in RTC? She is telling me that her BC is in San Diego. I realize with the career she has chosen that her Aschool will be there but everyone is telling me that she is wrong and her BC is at RTC. Also today she is taking further testing to qualify for Nukes program. Where is BC for that? Hopefully I have some of this Navy lingo correct. lol. Thank you for your help and time.

Thank you for clearing this up. I figured that this was the case but just wanted to double check.
On another note, I am a new mom here too and my son signed his contract last month and will be leaving for BC on Oct 27. There is a group Leaving for Bootcamp in October that is starting to get some activity. There are quite a few leaving on the 8th. You might want to join the group so you can get in touch with other Moms whose children will be there at the same time as your daughter.
The other gals have already answered your question regarding where BC is. My son is going Nuke and leaves in July. I would suggest you read up on the ratings (Jobs) that your daughter is interested in pursuing so that you have a general understanding of what she will be doing and how long each of the career paths take. The information here on N4M will help you so much and relieve some of those worries of the unknown. If you have any questions regarding Nuke, the group on here is very active and will help a LOT. Best wishes for your daughter and if she gets her Nuke contract, maybe my son will see her there. Holler if you need any help.
