Choose your Username. For the privacy and safety of you and/or your sailor, NO LAST NAMES ARE ALLOWED, even if your last name differs from that of your sailor (please make sure your URL address does not include your last name either). Also, please do not include your email address in your user name. Go to "Settings" above to set your Username. While there, complete your Profile so you can post and share photos and videos of your Sailor and share stories with other moms!

Join groups! Browse for groups for your PIR date, your sailor's occupational specialty, "A" school, assigned ship, homeport city, your own city or state, and a myriad of other interests. Jump in and introduce yourself! Start making friends that can last a lifetime.

OPSEC - Navy Operations Security
Always keep Navy Operations Security in mind. In the Navy, it's essential to remember that "loose lips sink ships." OPSEC is everyone's responsibility.
DON'T post critical information including future destinations or ports of call; future operations, exercises or missions; deployment or homecoming dates.
DO be smart, use your head, always think OPSEC when using texts, email, phone, and social media, and watch this video: "Importance of Navy OPSEC."

Please note! Changes to this guide happened in October 2017. Tickets are now issued for all guests, and all guests must have a ticket to enter base. A separate parking pass is no longer needed to drive on to base for parking.

VeganMom, I cried for 2 weeks prior to our son leaving for BC.Then the days before I could hardly look at him without crying, I am not a crier either.The night we took him to the hotel was the hardest ever. I couldn't stop crying for a few days. I am ok now, I know he is fine and excited to move on. I am very proud of him! Letting go of our kids is so hard, they don't tell you that when you have a baby! Hang in there, you'll make it! Take Kleenex with you! Thinking of you!

Hang in there VeganMom. I remember when my son went to MEPS the first time I was a mental wreck until he called me with his ship date. Just make each day special. Talk with your son and arm yourself with information. It will make you feel a little better. Don't get me wrong you will probably cry a lot. Just be strong for your son. My son leaves 7/1 and I have good days and bad days. I drive my husband crazy when I talk about all the "lasts". Even though I'm sometimes sad, I'm even more proud of him for making the decision to serve our country. Let us know when he gets his ship date and what job he gets.
