Choose your Username. For the privacy and safety of you and/or your sailor, NO LAST NAMES ARE ALLOWED, even if your last name differs from that of your sailor (please make sure your URL address does not include your last name either). Also, please do not include your email address in your user name. Go to "Settings" above to set your Username. While there, complete your Profile so you can post and share photos and videos of your Sailor and share stories with other moms!

Join groups! Browse for groups for your PIR date, your sailor's occupational specialty, "A" school, assigned ship, homeport city, your own city or state, and a myriad of other interests. Jump in and introduce yourself! Start making friends that can last a lifetime.

OPSEC - Navy Operations Security
Always keep Navy Operations Security in mind. In the Navy, it's essential to remember that "loose lips sink ships." OPSEC is everyone's responsibility.
DON'T post critical information including future destinations or ports of call; future operations, exercises or missions; deployment or homecoming dates.
DO be smart, use your head, always think OPSEC when using texts, email, phone, and social media, and watch this video: "Importance of Navy OPSEC."

Wanted to Introduce Myself and Say "Hello" and "Thanks"
Hi! My son leaves for MEPS on June 17th and BC on June 18th, and this is after a loooonng deferred deployment due to an injury so he is REALLY ready to leave! He is 21, and going into the NUKE program. He was in school in Atlanta (we live in the SF Bay Area) so I have had to deal with his leaving home once...of course this time will be so different due to the lack of communication. I am a single mom, and he and I are very close, so this will be hard. But I am so proud of him, and he is thrilled to be serving and I want to support him every way I can.
This group is an unbelievable resource - I can find out so much - which is great - my son in not exactly a fountain of information if you know what I mean.....he is all about this is HIS journey and I don't need to know anything....but of course that doesn't work with us Moms does it?!!
I am so thankful for all the Moms here who have taken the time and energy to share so much information, I feel like I have so much to learn, but at least I know where to go!
Sending warm thoughts to all of those who sons and daughters are leaving soon, I know June 18th will be here before I know it!
