OPSEC - Navy Operations Security

Always keep Navy Operations Security in mind.  In the Navy, it's essential to remember that "loose lips sink ships."  OPSEC is everyone's responsibility.

DON'T post critical information including future destinations or ports of call; future operations, exercises or missions; deployment or homecoming dates.

Hello All and a very MERRY CHRISTMAS!!! I hadn't seen a group formed yet for our ship, so I thought I would start one (Ship 02, Div 911 - USS Reuben James (PIR Feb 4, 2011)) so we all can be in touch! We have a special connection with band, choir, and drill team!  It will be great to share our experiences, stories and plans to meet up for PIR in Feb!  I'm a new Navy mom, and missing my daughter greatly right about now (as I am sure we all are missing our loved ones!), but am so very proud.  Let's chat!

your welcome Sherry!

Kimmy -- I was trying to find an answer for you and got this answer from someone at the US Navy Recruit Training Command:

U.S. Navy Recruit Training Command  Use 7105. The 3119 was an old extension. Regardless, an incorrect zip code extension is not going to cause any issues resulting in undeliverable mail.

;o) Hope this helps!  ;o)
All of my sons letters come from 3119, and I to send to that extension.oh well.
Thanks for the help and you looking into it for me!
Got out of touch most of the day yesterday.  What did I miss?  Got a letter from Fester yesterday lmao Pretty much said everything he told me on the phone.  It started, Dear Mom, It's cold here lol  awwwww
Robyn - hahahaha Fester! I got a letter from Strubedoo too! The letter was exactly as we discussed on the phone. Hey, we received about two feet of snow here in AZ! yikes.......im ready for Hawaii right now  ;-) p.s. how was the sushi?
I'm ready for Chicago...snow and all!  lol  Sushi would have been better if I could have sat down and enjoyed it.  Yesterday was way too crazy!  I need a nap (and a vacation)!
Sounds like you had a hectic day Robyn. Try to get some much needed sleep ;-)  I hope the weather is sunny and clear when its time to fly into Chicago.
Robyn ... you missed my "Wild n Crazy" home page yesterday ... you guessed it!  Pink zebra striped background!  LOL!  It was hurting my eyes everytime I went to that page yesterday, so I just had to change it back. ;o)
LOL That would have been a little bright!  Too funny!
My SR's (Stripper) (apparently he changes really, really fast and worked @ Disneyland:)) uses 3119 on his letters but during his phone call I asked about it. He said they forgot they were in a new building:0) All mail will get to them but it goes straight to their building if you use the correct 7105.
awesome!!!!!!  ;-)
