OPSEC - Navy Operations Security

Always keep Navy Operations Security in mind.  In the Navy, it's essential to remember that "loose lips sink ships."  OPSEC is everyone's responsibility.

DON'T post critical information including future destinations or ports of call; future operations, exercises or missions; deployment or homecoming dates.

DO be smart, use your head, always think OPSEC when using texts, email, phone, and social media, and watch this video: "Importance of Navy OPSEC."

Hello Rain. Welcome to this group!

I would like to let you know that my husband and I invite the Sailors over to our home on the weekends, whatever base they are at. We would love to invite your son over when he gets here also. Please check out our page on this site to see the things we do together.

My nephew is starting c school the end of November at Dam Neck for FC. Does anyone know the holiday stand down time they get there? Is it the same as GL?

Hi all. I was hoping someone would have information on a good place to get a birthday cake or cookies delivered to my sailor for his birthday. He is in Portsmouth right now. Thanks in advance

He's actually stationed at Oceana. :)

I'm not sure I can answer your questions, but one of the sailors who comes over to our house on the weekends may know. So, what are your questions and I will ask him. :) Yvonne and John

Hello!  Is anyone out there?  My sailor will be arriving in Oceana soon for C School and I have a few questions.

Lorraine and any other moms grandmoms out there.

My husband and I wanted to let you know that we open our home on the weekends and invite any sailors(and sometimes soldiers and marines) to come over. We feed them home cooked meals and play board games, go minigolfing, watch football, and just hang out together and get to know each other. We also invite them to join us on the holidays if they can't go home. We would love to invite your sailor too!  My husband spent 20 years in the Navy-10 enlisted and 10 as a Navy Chaplain.

Let us know if you think he would be interested.

Have a great day!

Yvonne and John
