By the time he gets home it will be 7 months..........my son's roommate is also on the IKE, I know they've been doing workups, going out for a while and then coming back........it's great that your sons will be together for Christmas.......that's going to be very special!!! I'm happy for you and them!!!

Ceecee yes he is on the Ike. 6 months I cant imagine. Not much longer to go. Do you go to watch the ship come in? I was wondering how that works because he was only a few hours way when he finally got cell service. It would take me 6 hours to drive there. He has leave for Christmas, which I am happy for since my older son got his leave at the same time. The two of them have not been home together for the holidays in 6 years. Happy for you to have yours home as well.

I'm here, m'smom;  I sent you a request!  My nephew is VR-56, too.

Helloooo!!! Anyone there???

Very quiet out here. Hope all are well and just too busy to talk!

I am looking for a little advice.  Son & DIL are looking for a townhouse/house to buy in the Virginia Beach area.  Anyone know of areas they should stay away from?  Besides the direct line with the airstrips at the base!!

Thanks-

m'smom thanks for the explanation. It must be really hard on your family.

Did anyone else's son just get back from deployment on the Ike?
