Hi ladies. My son just arrived at Oceana Wednsday night. One thing he noticed was he needs a car. I dont know if any one on here has a sailor in his squadron, but he said everyone was really cool and really helpful. I guess being the new guy he has alot to learn.

Thanks Cindy and CC.

He has arrived safely but he's not really thrilled about being back in the cold weather again.  He surprised us all by getting married wayyy earlier than the Nov 2 2012 date they set before he left.  So he's going to start looking for apartments.  I tried to find some things on the internet to send him in email but the pictures are never any thing like the real thing when you look at them.  He says he'll be back the beginning of June to take his bride and their belongings to VA.

I found out the name of his squadron is the Gladiators.

And that's about everything I know so far.

m was so tired last night that I didn't ask too many questions.  He sounded like he needed to go to bed and it was only 7 pm.!!  I told him to find the mess hall and get some food in him.

I will ask more questions tonight!  lol

Cindy- Do you know which barricks he is in?  Do they stay with other squadron members?  M sounded very tired, but they made it.

Glad P has his boat. M was interested in what kind of boat.  Told him I hadn't asked.

The buddy he traveled with has a wife and 11 month old baby boy.  She was not on N4M's so I gave him the website info and my screen name.  We will have to keep an eye out for her.

Holly, my son is also at Oceana....he has been there since August. He says it is a lot better than P'cola. He likes it very much. He went surfing for the very first time in September. He  snowboards and said it's a lot like snowboarding but he like snowboarding better. He is stationed there but will be deployed on the Bush this sprring.
