My daughter graduates A school Dec 3rd and has orders for NAS Oceana. She has been trying to get some info on her C school but hasn't had any luck. She is also and AO. She still doesn't know if she gets leave right before going to her duty station or if it will be Christmas leave. Anyone that has any info it would be greatly appreciated. Thanks
Hello all.... my daughter was in Pensacola since April, had a 2 week leave at home and now in Oceana for C school and her duty station. Looking forward to making new friends :)
I mean share information, not a room, :0
would anyone be willing to share any hotels in the area that would be a nice and reasonable place to stay while near the base? We are thinking of visiting our sailor over the Thanksgiving holiday.
From previous history, i know that these groups are an excellent resource.
Hubby is with VFA-106. That's awesome that she found a job. I'm having a hard time finding anything right now :(
Hello, hello! My husband and I just moved here in June. I still haven't met any other wives, and I'm not sure if there is a FRG or anything with my husbands Squadron. And my husband got assigned night shifts too. Wheee!
jennyj, if he is attached to a squadron that is attached to a ship then i would expect him to go with the squadron wherever they go. My daughter is an AOAN with the VFA 37 squadron welcome to the group. It is a pretty quiet group though. Feel free to send me a friend request if you have any questions.
My husband just got orders to Oceana! He is an MA so I guess he will be guarding the planes with the squadron he got assigned. Is anyone familiar with what an MA would do? If they go on the deployments with the squadron? Thanks!
It is super quiet here, I really wish more people were on this page and it was active. I would love to find other moms in the VA Beach area. Maybe we could even have lunch or something when I come to see my Sailor again.
