Glad there is some folks still talking on this wall. With the deployment coming up end of August, it will be nice to hear if anyone else hears anything. Blessings to all with sailors on Harper's Ferry!

Hello Everyone, my son is a Corpsman who is being deployed with the Harpers Ferry in August.  He's attached to the 13th MEU.  I don't come here to N4Ms very often, but will check back often to see what's going on.  Feel free to friend me here and I'm on Facebook too!

My daughter just reported to Harper's Ferry within the last two weeks. She is still getting her sea legs :( I hope to learn more about this ship as she becomes more familiar with it as well. Blessings to all with sailors on Harper's Ferry!!!

Ms. Ampi,

I haven't signed on to the navyformoms site since Christmas!!! ...but had to laugh when I signed on and checked this group and one of the first things I see is your daughters picture.  I recognize her because she is my sons girlfriend now!  They are on the Germantown together.  Small world.  No worries.  My son is a great kid!  I haven't heard from him since the day they first arrived in
Australia, and an anxiously awaiting news on how it has been and what fun things they have managed to fit in.  Just wanted to say Hi.

'm excited!! Today my daughter comes home for 12 days before she leaves to Japan. I know saying good bye to her when she departs will be the hardest thing for me to do.This will be her ship. It's breaking my heart knowing she will be so far away.

My son finished A school in March, but has been on hold there since then. He will be on The Harpers Ferry as a SH. He has NEVER been away from home other than boot camp and A school and this is almost halfway around the world from me. I am kinda freaking out now that the Stop Movement has been lifted. I was just coasting but now it's real. Any important information you can give me to pass along to my 20 year old son....it would be much appreciated. :)

I received a message this Sunday Morning from my child who is on Harpers Ferry. 2 lines.  Stated that he was out to sea and was fine. I know it's short. Just glad I received it.  Thank you for this forum. I am new, only signed up to respond to dlarue. Hope this helps you.
