Good Morning:

I am a bit confused about AECF.  I was informed that my daughter's A school is in GL.  Can one of you confirm this?  Thanks

Very true. My son is there now :-)

A school for AECF is in GL??

Your daughter will be told in the last couple of weeks of basic if she will be FC or ET.  Both 'A' school are at Great Lakes, her 'C' school could be in several different locations depending on if she is FC or ET and what she will be doing.  She will more than likely be at Great Lakes for close to a year, maybe longer or shorter depending on class size and hold times.

Congratulations and good luck to you and your daughter!

My son is on hold there right now waiting on a class to form for ET

Mine did his A school for FC at GL after his Oct 5, 2012 PIR and JUST was sent to Dahlgren, VA, for his C school, expecting 4 months there and then to Norfolk. This is his first week in VA, so he had a year at GL. The FCs and ETs alternated who had day classes and who had night classes for their A school. The FC classes were night classes when mine went.

This is also where my son will be attending his A school , as well.  :)
