Yes, the day is finally on us that we are now seeing orders for C school!
I understand for the FCs, C school can be located in:

1) Dam Neck, VA
2) Dalgren, VA
3) San Diego

I believe the location is determined by which system they will be operating on.

Do we know where C school is for our ETs?

Has your sailor been to C school yet? If so can you tell us which one? How long it lasted and did they get leave before starting C school or head directly there from A school?

How much longer does your son have Seebee dtr?
He is in A school until March I think. He's not sure what system he'll be on yet, so we're still not sure where he's going for C school. I wasnt sure how long C school was.
Seabee dtr, thought you might like to know my son Ryan PIR'd one week before yours I think(end of June) and originally thought he would finish end of Feb. He should be finishing A school, hopefully, in the next couple of weeks and then will finish ATT and thinks he should be done by maybe Thanksgiving. This is how much faster they have started to move them through. So your son may finish much earlier than March.
And here's another comparision.........CCRs son PIR 4.18 and mine 4.25 they have both finished A school and now are back in ATT. Our son says his grad date is posted for Dec. 2 - almost seven months from the time he started but he is convinced he will finish sooner.

Most recently they have the A school students for FC going day and evening sessions to get them thru the program sooner but now that they are back in ATT, they are only doing the day classes as the A students have the computers at night.

I've learned to accept....orders will be ready.....when they are ready. :-)
So, if he finishes A school much sooner, will he leave for C school right away? I take advantage of these weekends home with him. he comes home every weekend he doesnt have duty, and we
just stay home and dont make plans those weekends. We dont really do anything special, we stay home together we share meals and play games or cards or just watch movies together. We just have that date hanging over us and I want to make the most of this time together.
It must be so nice to have him be able to come home for the weekends. We have not seen our son since April!!

I cannot really answer your questions about c school starting sooner. I want to say - yes. But C school is NOT self-paced and they have an actual start date for the class. Also it is a matter of WHEN the orders are available. Our son is looking at coming home for Christmas but will have to return to GL to get his C school orders. He is expecting to wrap up school on Nov. 26th but ...won't get orders until after Christmas. So you just cannot make any plans until those orders are in your hands.
Thank you for the info, I do feel so blessed to be close to him right now. People dont understand when you dont want to make plans because he's coming home. (my close friends get it) But I imagine how hard that is to not see them for so long. Do you have webcams?
A Navy mom definitely understands! My husband was saying last week that we need to begin thinking about vacation plans for next year and I said NO!!!! Which kinda surprised him :-D. I told him until we knew when and where Nick would be at C school....I'm not making any plans!!!

We have not done webcams yet I had planned on get them when he gets assigned to a ship but I think it is going to be a Christmas present to us this year. We do talk to him about 3 or 4 times a week.
Hi My son Brandon went to San Deigo...He loved it..then to Dam Neck VA..Now on a ship...
Karen, did Brandon go to SD for the CIWS system? We have another sailor heading there soon.
yes,,he did, last year he went oct...to may of this year..your sailor will love it..thats where my Graduation pictures are at..kool..
What are the C schools for ET?
