Well, we are at least 6 months from being on a ship as C school is coming up. Do I ask him to put me on the FRG list now or wait?

the only contact i've ever had with the obudsman is when my mother died and i needed to find out how to get jes on emergency leave

Comment by Vickyrun on February 27, 2012 at 11:42am

Soo what does the Obudsman do then? Only call if someting bad happens? Her Dad gets that call, then Dad has to call me.

vicky,

you won't hear anything from the obudsman about homecoming, just the FRG

Good Sunday morning, Thanks everyone.

I iagree Helen, sometimes OPSEC is odd, but hey that is the Navy for you. Lol.

I am getting email from the FRG about Homecoming but nothing form the Obudsman yet.

Mary, Happy Navy Anniversary to Nick. Have fun in Hawaii with all your handsome men. I stayed on Kaui once, it is very beatiful. Bring us back some pics please.

Good morning all, just realized four years ago today - our son left for bootcamp.

Helen & MarinewifeNavyMom, it appears when the Navy releases that info - its okay but ...not if you or your sailor does.  Personally Helen, I'm just glad that big ole' battle group left Pearl Harbor before I arrived (for selfish reasons!!)

Enjoy, enjoy, enjoy!

vicky run, so nice that you got that chat on Chrissy birthday. I'm sure it meant a lot to her as well.

Navyblumom, so nice to hear from our 1st deployment sailors how well they are doing. He's living some great experiences now and will be making memories for life.

Helen -------- soon! I know you must be over the moon excited to see your Matt.

Connie -- new grandbaby! We are just loving our little granddaughter to pieces here. She brings such joy into our lives. Is this your first one or ?

Yay for new orders!!! On to C school - life is so much nicer there!

We are off to see our sailor on Thursday but in the meantime he called yesterday to say he was at the airport with a friend and they had a three day weekend so thought they would just fly over to the big island for the weekend. So glad that so many of our sailors are getting a chance to really enjoy their travels. He also asked if one of his FCs buddies could join us next week in kauai ---- so we will have one old FC (hubby) and two FC2s hanging together, I will be the odd girl out but so looking forward to some quality time with my guys.
