Choose your Username. For the privacy and safety of you and/or your sailor, NO LAST NAMES ARE ALLOWED, even if your last name differs from that of your sailor (please make sure your URL address does not include your last name either). Also, please do not include your email address in your user name. Go to "Settings" above to set your Username. While there, complete your Profile so you can post and share photos and videos of your Sailor and share stories with other moms!

Join groups! Browse for groups for your PIR date, your sailor's occupational specialty, "A" school, assigned ship, homeport city, your own city or state, and a myriad of other interests. Jump in and introduce yourself! Start making friends that can last a lifetime.

OPSEC - Navy Operations Security

Always keep Navy Operations Security in mind. In the Navy, it's essential to remember that "loose lips sink ships." OPSEC is everyone's responsibility.

DON'T post critical information including future destinations or ports of call; future operations, exercises or missions; deployment or homecoming dates.

DO be smart, use your head, always think OPSEC when using texts, email, phone, and social media, and watch this video: "Importance of Navy OPSEC."

Comment by Vickyrun on February 18, 2012 at 11:05pm: That wish list is a big joke. Our kids don't have a choice. The Navy shouldn't do that stupid wish list. Our kids need to learn right away that they will go where the Navy needs them. And when the Navy tells them to go. That is part of the job.

I want everyone to know this page has been a lifeline for me. Thank you all for helping me get through these 10 months!!! She knows she may not get what she put down and I know her life is the Navy now ever since she signed the papers. Will be checking the TSC facebook page for pictures.

Sand Diego is a big homeport, so chances aren't bad.

Comment by chew92 on February 18, 2012 at 10:24am: My son chose Pacific fleet and got Atlantic. I think just let them choose so they feel as if they get a choice. They're in the Navy now . They will be put where they are needed.

She also said A school isn't a big deal for graduation. I feel bad not being able to fly over to see her. Do they take pictures of this and post them? Also she put down San Diego for her wish list of deployment. What are the chances she will get this?
