FOLLOW THESE STEPS TO GET STARTED:

Choose your Username.  For the privacy and safety of you and/or your sailor, NO LAST NAMES ARE ALLOWED, even if your last name differs from that of your sailor (please make sure your URL address does not include your last name either).  Also, please do not include your email address in your user name. Go to "Settings" above to set your Username.  While there, complete your Profile so you can post and share photos and videos of your Sailor and share stories with other moms!

Make sure to read our Community Guidelines and this Navy Operations Security (OPSEC) checklist - loose lips sink ships!

Join groups!  Browse for groups for your PIR date, your sailor's occupational specialty, "A" school, assigned ship, homeport city, your own city or state, and a myriad of other interests. Jump in and introduce yourself!  Start making friends that can last a lifetime.

OPSEC - Navy Operations Security

Always keep Navy Operations Security in mind.  In the Navy, it's essential to remember that "loose lips sink ships."  OPSEC is everyone's responsibility. 

DON'T post critical information including future destinations or ports of call; future operations, exercises or missions; deployment or homecoming dates.  

DO be smart, use your head, always think OPSEC when using texts, email, phone, and social media, and watch this video: "Importance of Navy OPSEC."

I am happy to make the 7 hour each way drive for only 4 minutes. I am so amazed and proud of the adult she has become. Go Navy

My sailor graduates FC A school October 21st. Yes....we are going to GL for the graduation.   I am so proud of her!  What a change in her since January.

Hi all,
Found outtodayhome owing date for our son's ship and what is last port will be. All I can say is IF I had know that I could go to MY dream vacation by joining the Navy...I would have joined a long time ago!!!

Thanks Sandy - He is hoping to be able to meet us at his sister's (so kids avoid snow). I am telling everyone to not plan, but................cant help it

Odi and ProudGMBarb. Yes, they are allowed to take leave after finishing (A)school and before starting (C)school.  They will only be allowed to take 10 days and they must put in a Chit.

Yes they will be allowed to take leave at christmas school closes. just need to wait and see when they set up the time frame.
