Millye, thats what I love about this whole business with Navy for Moms. It is such a small world. I go through your town every time I go to Ft. Worth and I think of you when I'm on the loop!!!

Wow Kellie, thats neat!
I have a question. Are all the RDC's the same from when our kids graduated from April? Do they switch around? My son sung the praises of his. Just loved their professionalism.

gee thanks ladies...I just always have been more partial to this room, so many good folks and great interaction.

MM - I so hope we are not talking about your son. My understanding is if they are out of boot camp, things are handled differently - if a medical situation arises that results in a discharge, we have seen them stay on the ship where they are assigned. Ship 17 is for recruits - that have not made it out of boot camp. There is some information posted on the RTC site regarding Ship 17.

Good morning all! Julie, wow is that twice this month you have stopped by!! LOL

Kellie - you brag all day long girl...wives get to brag too!!! Believe me, I have been doing it for years :-D

I need to do some running around today...I'm heading down to Savannah at the end of the week for a few days. The S. GA moms are having a gathering on Saturday and Jackie is going to cross the stateline and meet us for lunch!! So that is a big bonus and the other bonus is our daughter goes to college in the area so I have not seen her since Christmas break so I get to hang out with her for a few days too. The nice part is...she has been bugging me to come down...she still likes me!!! LOL Have a great day all - catch up soon.

Barbara, I know you are excited to have Ben home for a few days - where is his ship homeported out of?

Jackie - I like that the LPO invited John to meet everyone in advance, I think that says alot about his new ship. Nice job in school!

Yes Helen, some sailors know what they want and in some case - they definitely want to be in the USA or close(r) to home - if only they got to decide!

Notebook was a great flick, are the guy sailors watching it too or is it a "chick" flick type day?!!!

It is Nick's birthplace so he is really motivated to get stationed there but...time will tell. ++++++++++++++++++++++++++ He is prepared for anything but working at being at the top of the class, in case there is orders that he really wants.
