Welcome to our newest member - Bens Gram! If I remember correctly Ben is going to be an FC (?) and he is at the start of a very looong road!

ohhh DOS and do we miss those wonderful 5.25 floppy discs? I remember when we bought our first home computer - Nick was only one yr old so....20 yrs ago. I played so many games while I was pg with our daughter - I seriously wondered if she would become addicted to the computer! I want to say it was an Apple 2GS but hubby might correct me on that. Our cell phones are more capable today than...

LOL, I liked the old DOS games. I can't play the new games with first person POV, they make me dizzy and nauseated. I was on an early proto-BBS in Japan. Had to wait until my duty days, late at night when no one else was using the computer. It had several Ks of RAM! Wow!

Could be jealous - three day weekend for many. Our company does not include MLK day for a holiday, we celebrate Presidents Day in February. So for those that have a long weekend - enjoy!

PS...We have now hit........................300 pages in this group! Some people certainly like to talk ALOT!!! :-D

Hoppi, since you've helped people get OUT of the Navy, is the waiting game time different for everyone? My son has a roommate that got kicked out. You know how it goes, you always lock everything up but that one time.... He stole his money. I would think he should be out by now. Been almost 2 months. Different situation for everyone? This is in SD.

The technology and methods have changed since I was in, but good OPSEC is still good OPSEC.

Mary in GA, We used to ship oatmeal, peanut butter, popcorn, tea bags and definitely noodles. He never complained about eating at the gallery but he always like his late night ravings. I was at BJs warehouse last week and they were selling Nick's favorite noodles by the case so I grabbed one thinking I could break it up over a couple of shipments but ...he has LOTs of storage at his new digs. So I have a box prepared for whoever draws the short straw to the post office!

nice guys do finish last I guess. Poor Patrick has been ripped off by his roommate twice. the one who has been kicked out of the Navy, and waiting to leave. He's much smaller than Patrick _ I asked _ I told him to tell the guy if he gave his money back he wouldn't beat the crap out of him. But Patrick says its not worth being kicked out of the Navy. He really likes the Navy, and got his first test in SD today. I love it-he calls everyday to check on if I sold his car yet! Its great! Its that car that broke down twice on the road trip - LOL. Funny thing, since we fixed it, I love it - little racy thing! All new tires, brakes, alternator, dist, air intake, hks exhaust, has all these performance and suspension enhancements. Vrooooommm!!! Yeah, I'm too old to be driving it.

Catching up on 19 pgs you guys! I love the pic of Barb and Jackie!!!! Wish I could have seen you both. Congrats to Claire but Millye, I can't handle the cold - you're a better woman than I am.
Intel chips - prayers for a speedy recovery!
