Things do change - it comes down to what the Navy needs and when they need it and our sailors tend to be okay with that.

CCR - nice that Patrick knows so many in his class, has his classes got under way all ready? I know one of Nick's FC buds that graduated with him checked in this week too...and he's got "the" car so even better!!! LOL

Welcome Pamela.

Pine Farms, don't feel misled. My son was also told while he was in A school that they were trying to bring C school for FC's to the Great Lakes. It was a plan they may still be working on, I don't know. But he was told the same.

No contact Patrick has been calling everyday! Seems he wants to know if I've sold his car yet. Seems he has his eye on one in SD.!

Other good news, he knows 4 out of 12 people in his new classes in SD. Glad to know he has friends like the ones that took him on the USS Bonhomme for his birthday. My baby is 20!

When Nick first reported to A school back in April - he was on one ship until SCC was over and then they moved him to the Cole and he was fortunate to be able to stay there for the duration of his schooling. That seemed to be the norm but things got crazy before the holidays and I know some sailors moved literally twice in a day - don't know if things have calmed down or not since they have returned.

I thought they were consolidating all the Sailors that did not take leave during the holidays into one or two ships and everyone had to pack out of their rooms completely as they could be assigned a new room/ship when they returned.

Seemed like there was talk about housing all of the FCs together, GMs together, etc. don't know if that actually happened or not. Nick had been rooming with ETs, GMs, ICs and an occassional FC!

I was thinking she was scheduled for graduation this week Millye but with no classes on Monday perhaps that got in the way.

C school won't be in GL - it could be San Diego or Virginia and there are a few schools there Pine Farms. It always comes down to the needs of the Navy and what system they earn.
