Okay, I am NOT the domestic goddess here...hint CCR LOVES to cook! But one thing that my children love is my stuffed green peppers. Our sailor just called and ...they served green peppers at his new galley today...he just had to let me know - they were NOT as good as mine!!! Score one for mom! He did say the Boston Creme pie was pretty tasty!! He's been liking the food there but had to let me know about those peppers.

Hoppi - remember what you said about studying during leave? He does start his classes for a couple of weeks BUT they have him doing a self study program while waiting for the class. They don't want no slow brain cells at C school!

Hey CCR - have you checked with the California moms? Wicked day here, been with out power most of the day...no phone, no lights and NO computer!!! Yikes - still have not heard what the culprit was but off to BJs now, college daughter heads back to school Saturday and she is smart enough to know if she stocks up on her groceries and school supplies while at home - they come out of my checkbook! Have a good night all -

Hi Rebecca!
Also, I'm still checking for the mom from San Diego whose daughter is in GLakes as an FC. Wanted to thank her, but don't think she's a member on N4M's yet... Last name rhymes with Bagel... Anyone?

Not SatCom, secure voice, primarily landline/autovon connectivity. Pretty sure they don't use that system anymore. I'd had SatCom theory in C-7, but never worked the gear. I've been out a good long while ... and no, I don't think they'd take me back, LOL.

One of my ET C schools was in Fort Gordon, GA on an army base! That was weird.

Getting that first id is exciting, I still have mine...but shhhhhhhh...don't tell the Navy - I think I was supposed to return it back in 1992!!

First in lol.....oh my, that line would still be backed up if they were waiting on Nick!!

CCR - I think what that means is when your Sailor comes home on leave, he can wear his civies but when checking into a new command - he must be in uniform.

Nick wore his dress blues home on leave ...as I would have screamed if he should up in jeans! But he did return to GL in his jeans...at that point I was over him!!! :-D
