Didn't realize you might be talking about another potential ET. I assure you that paint chipping does not take place during SCC, it is a real class. They may do some painting, landscaping, etc. while on hold waiting for SCC or ATT but when they are in class - they are learning not chipping paint.

IntelChips, SCC is not paint chipping. It is an evening class that all of the ETs and FCs will be taking and it last about two weeks. They take this before ATT begins.

I'm sure your sailor son is not aware of the 3M tag out system at this stage. He will get the training he needs - but since your son is not reporting until Jan. 6th, he probably needs to be concerned with the basics first such as Indoc and SCC before he 3M tag out.

Millye, I've tried that site twice tonight and cannot connect. It's probably...me. I'll try it again tomorrow. I must say the Geo. Washington ship seems to have alot of great support and stuff going on. I've been following them for awhile and they really did alot of neat things during the holidays for their sailors. Claire is getting attached to a great ship!

About losing their ID's, my sailor said it happened ALL THE TIME up in the GL's. Although he didn't, but there's always a first time for everything, eh?

Dear Hoppi, so what happens if a Navy Mom REFUSES to let her Sailor return from leave?!!! Okay - don't answer that ...I DO know the answer but it has been such a treat having both my kids home.

They even got me this great camera...watch out now - if I figure out how to take pictures and load them to the site............it will be scary!!!

Our Sailor lite our blue candle at noon - yes, I got choked up ...suspect next Christmas we will be lighting it wondering...where he is spending his day.

Hugs to all!
