Losing an ID sucks, but if she gets on top of it as Hoppi has suggested, she shouldn't get into too much trouble. Yelled at a bit, perhaps. And I hope the loser who helped themselves to her accounts gets a big karmic bite in the bum.

Oh kybessom, I am so sorry to hear of all of Sierra's challenges with her homecoming.

Perhaps Hoppi can give her some suggestions about her ID situation. She needs to enjoy her leave and we will hope the rest of it comes together okay for her.

Hey Kellie - I was wondering if you were going to dump us for Mickie?!!! LOL I know Nick certainly got a great night of sleep, I believe it was close to 11 am when he woke up but I don't think many of them slept the night before. He is off to the gym already. You have such an exciting week ahead, we will all be thinking of you.

CCR ------- galley...hmmmm I will say that I asked Nick what he would LIKE to eat the next couple of days and he said...whatever the galley is serving! We hung our banner at the house and will leave it up for the weekend - the neighborhood will all know he has arrived! If I took it to the airport I would just throw it aside to hung him anyways.

So glad that John and gf made it to VA safely...soon Florida Jackie!

Millye, it was 72 when Nick landed. Sunday the low is supposed to be 20 degrees...so it will feel like GL (almost)!!!

Must say that those three white stripes with the rating badge looked pretty impressive on the dress blues...six months to PO!

Mary, I've got my welcome home banner in the box. PD. $22.00. Should I take it with me to the airport to pick him up Sun. Night, or hang it at my mom and dads house for him to see when we pull up in Conroe? Or hang it at home?
PS
Lynn, could you post a picture on your page of Wade and ya'll? So glad he's home!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Mary, we do have a galley here - I've been cooking and baking for 5 straight days and Jorge rolls his eyes when he comes home. He just automatically calls b-4 he leaves work -"Watcha need now?"
Oh, walnuts, 3 more bags of flour and 4 more pkgs of butter!!

Millye, guess we will have a meteorologist, eh? Congrats and MS is REAL close from you and I since we are DET.

Does anyone know a girl that was at GL, but is now in SAn Diego? My son is spending the week-end with her family In San Diego before he leaves to fly home to TX. He has actually been on leave this ENTIRE time. I wonder why he didn't already come home? I know he had to get there to sign in and get his room. He could have driven home to Ft. Worth (my real home) with C from T's son (same PIR) but he didn't know in time and bought plane tickets. But not till the 21st, because tickets on the 19th were 600, and the 21st were much cheaper.

I just had to stop by and say...he's home!!! And looks fabulous!

I wasn't going to the airport since I was fortunate to see him at graduation just two weeks ago but I'm so glad that I went. We told Nick we would meet him at baggage claim and that is where the USO stand is. Four wonderful USO men work the stand and there were gobs of people waiting in this area for their travelers (not necessarily military) everytime a Military member would come up the escalator - the whole crowd would cheer!

I asked the USO folks if I could take a picture of them and they were flattered but could thank us enough for allowing our son to serve. So one of the men asked me what our son's name was and I said well our last name is _______ but his first name (if he remembers it!!) is Nick. About 10 minutes later Nick comes up the escalator and the crowd erupts in cheers...it was almost movie like! And this sweet man is announcing Nick ______ and family. Nick is a quiet humble type but he was blushing from head to toe! A few folks came up to thank him for serving but I think he had no clue the impact that traveling in his dress blues would have. I promised him I did not personally arrange such a reception...all the military just deserves it!

Okay - I'm out of here...I have a Sailor at home!!! I hope everyone that is on leave makes it to you soon and wonderful days are ahead for all.

Pamela, Neese and Nancy - I know it's not your turn this week...but I'll be thinking of each of you!

Oh Toni - crying for you here!!! We should know any minute if our Nick is getting out on time, they have cancelled a number of regional jets to Atlanta but he is on a larger jet and we think he will be getting out okay.

He has always been frugal with his $$ on his last call, he said I'm really getting hungry. I suggested that he go grab a sandwich and he said.....I'm NOT spending $30 on a sandwich -they already got $3 out of me for a bottle of water!
Perhaps I better go back a picnic to take with me to the airport---
