Congratulations, Amanda, ET/FC is a fine choice.

LOL, A school was still instructor led when I went through ...our class fell into ranks in the hall, were handed our certificates and were told we'd graduated. Then we were cut loose for liberty and were to report back the next morning to select our orders. I don't recall, but we may have had a nice little speech from the chief or CO. I think if I found Mom's scrapbook/geneaology book, I might find my certificate. I have all the ones from C schools and BE/E (ATT) in my "I love me" folder.

Generally A school graduation is held at 11 am but the 19th is going to be a crazy day there. I'm surpised they even have a graduation that day. Your sailor probably has the best info on that Anne -- hope you can get some good info so you can make plans.

ohhhhhhhh Kelly, I had the privledge of attending A school graduation last Friday. It was awesome!!! The A school graduation is a combination of rates that include ET, FC, GM and IC. Of course the ONLY one that matters that day is...your Sailor!!! We had not seen our son in 8 months so it was really a fabulous morning for us....even if I forgot the waterproof mascara!

There were 20 plus sailors graduating that day but we also got to see a frocking ceremony as well as a re-enlistment ceremony of an ET. It was all very cool to watch! With the self-paced classes that our sailors are in - you won't get alot of notice of graduation, they have a target date but then it just depends on how they are tracking in the class. Our son kiinda knew...well I SHOULD be done...next week. It's just hard to plan it in advance.

Hey Pamela, the navy is always a learning experience! You'll get the hang of it. No need to be sorry!

I know my friend Troy never eailed when his ship was deployed, those emails were screened. Could be the case in the sandbox too, maybe.
