Sailors on ships qual for Surface Warfare ... obviously I never had the opportunity. I didn't know officers had a school for it, but that makes sense. It would boost his sea-going career, that's for certain.

We are native Detroiters but it's been a while since we've been in "winter" weather. I'm excited cause I get to my scarf and gloves out of storage!!! Nick told us yesterday that he had fell 4 times cause of the weather. I have SO much to do tomorrow but none of it matters as I'll be in GL Thursday!!! Thanks for all of your well wishes - I'll be on the lookout for all of your sailors. If you get a phone call this weekend that says...there was some crazy mom here trying to hug all of the FCs and ETs......you know it was me!!!

LynnDear, Wade sounds more encouraged - we so hope it works out for him. Very good stuff on officer son Lynn, I don't have any solid info that I can suggest...we don't have any 0s in our house!!! Wishing both those boys well.

Millye - I did the Xexox post card program a few weeks ago, shame on me for not posting that info here. Claire will do fine on that test! Sounds like she will get to start dealing with the rumors now Millye - no orders, icky orders, come back after the holiday orders, etc. etc. I wonder if she will be seeing the detailer tomorrow or it if will be next Wednesday for her. I believe Karla's son gets to go for his orders this week and John will not be far behind. The long road of A school is ALMOST over for many of us! Perhaps we should turn the honarary keys over to Kellie :-D. Nope! Cannot do it - this will always be my favorite group!!!! Ohhhh...but for those moving on to C school...I already have a group set up and a plank waiting for you - C School Sailors!

CCR - there should be a phone number on his orders he can call if he's going to be delayed. If they know, they may be able to work with him on not being UA.

Mary, you know what i would have done if I'd known about my A school graduation, but alas, he didn't tell me before. No Surprise there.

Well, Sons car broke down, somewhere between Bloomington, IL and Springifled, IL. walked 2 hrs in snow, took cab back to car, has to have a new alternator, shop doesn't have part, etc. So he may be delayed a day or two. Hope he makes San Diego and doesn't get in trouble. So hope he gets into Tulsa with Cheryl by Wed night and Thursday with mama Mary in Albequerque. Both live right by the frwy. What luck!
