Lala-how is Nathan's doing?
Glad that your family are together for a little while.
Your ribbons were lovely I saw the moms wearing them proudly at PIR.

Hello, Our sailor, my SIL, will be going to Pensacola as well. He will be at Corey Station. He was in Div 353 and PIR was 10-29 but he didn't get to participate in the ceremony because of his sisters death. He came home right after battle stations. He was able to come home for a couple of weeks to be with his family. He did work for the recruiter while he was home. He leaves in a couple days and has to go back to Great lakes to get his orders and then fly to Pensacola. We expect him to be there for about 6 months. My daughter is also a sailor. She had A-school in Pensacola and is now in VA. We are pretty familiar with Pensacola because it has been our vacation place each summer for about 18 years.

Quick update for our recent sailors family who's sons/daughters that had graduated on 10-29. The internet is awesome, I have found that being able to talk and text to my sailor now has put my mind at ease, For leave etc, remember to keep asking your sailors to set up their mypay account on the internet as that is what they need to do to send their requests etc for leave. So far in the induction phase the instructor has not shown my sailor that yet and they are keep asking for them to show them how to do it. make sure your sailors buy an iron and ironing board, the cleaner does not always do a good job on the uniform and that will make them fail inspection, mine learn his first lesson and is buying one tomorrow, if you want something done right do it yourself...He is enjoying his life at Pensacola and is very upbeat still, His upbeat spirit is contagious and some find it allergic since they have been stuck there awhile either failed the tests or waiting to class up and is not too pleased with our new fresh face happy go lucky crew so tell them to remember to keep on being proud and keep the momentum going as they need to motivate others and help one another over that hump, remember ours is the winning group!!!! hmm am a little bias. I hope to hear from you all on how your sailors are doing..
