Steve, I'm sure Michelle Obama would "pep talk" every young person she could, but the logisitics of that are pretty mindboggling. My son is just glad to have her husband as his CIC, and knowing that THIS POTUS does not take the military for granted or their casualities lightly. Michelle Obama has reached out to many military families and has taken on that cause as one of her First Lady duties. I'm very happy with that.

The white culture clip...you are right, he is a monumental ass....of course, he defines himself as an entertainer, not any kind of authority...boy is that an understatement....did you see the one with the "beck tears" in the spray bottle! ha!!!

I was raised Mormon, my ancestors on my mother's side were Mormon pioneers, burned out of their first US homes by good Christians when my ancestors came from Wales and England to practice religious freedom. They joined Young, with all their belongings in hand carts to go to Utah and the Great Salt Lake. They were there for the miracle of crickets that saved their crops and worked on the first Temple there. They spread out across Utah and Idaho. While they were busting their butts settling the land, Young built his beautiful home, next to it is where his 24 wives lived. He was designing dishes of gold...my ancestors were living in tiny shacks, working the land. You can see those tiny shacks, some in the middle of fields, still there...houses were built over the years, but every building still stands. And those poor folks sent a tithe to the Church...for those gold dishes? who knows? I was disgusted when I learned this...but I am very proud of my heritage. My ggrandmother was traveling back to their home, attacked by Indians at a stream, flipped the wagon sideways, and fought them off! Flipped the wagon, loaded it with kids and supplies and went home to fix supper. I love that story! We were always taught to take care of one another, the Relief Society (of which one of my ancestors was a founding member, except she didn't have the money for dues, so her name is listed on the "other" list! ) was founded to visit the homes of members to help out, bring supplies, take care of the ill, etc.

Beck is a lousy Mormon, my mother would call him a "Jack Mormon"...

People who want fair taxes don't get the news...

Fifteen thousand march in Springfield, and almost no major news coverage. 79 gun nuts teabag in Virginia, and they cover it like it was the Super Bowl.

Open Letter to Tea Party Protesters

None of this made you angry; none of this frightened you. You finally got angry when your lawfully elected representatives decided that all Americans deserve the right to see a doctor if they’re sick.
