I though that you post about the defense spending was interesting. i have to go back and read - but I am fairly certain that I read that the pay increases for enlisted ranks were proposed to be the lowest percentage wise in almost 25 years. Regardless of Chris's service..if that's true...that's insane. In the midst of 2 wars and multiple foreign hot spots... I can't fathom that.

I will say that I think we should get this darn health care put to bed already. I am so tired of hearing this ridiculous conservative argument about passing health reform through reconciliation. Any one who reads the rules knows that reconciliation can only be used for budgetary items..it isn't permissible for general legislation. The cost of continuing to do nothing will far exceed the cost of implementation. Goodness... all these "Christians" aren't acting very Christian-like... didn't Christ go out and heal the sick, minister to the poo, the in-firmed, the down trodden, the criminals...hmmmm ... didn't He talk about community responsibility - love thy neighbor....hmmmm.....WOW...

My brother, the ultra conservative, told me the other day that he's walking away from calling himself a Republican, he finds their behavior embarrassing and degrading to the President of the United States. He fears for his nephew's life in the military, that traitors will choose which orders they want to obey in a time of war and that Republicans are preaching party over country when it comes to patriotism.

That RNC scare tactic pretty much proves it.
