Britt'sMom... Welcome.  Ours is in RCU medical unit. Not sure when he will be fit for duty and able to finish, but we hope by Christmas. We will keep you and your SR in our prayers.

prayers for your SR also

My son is also in this division and graduating on Jan. 13.  We just went up to see him for Adopt-A-Sailor.  I am impressed at the change in him. Has any other mom's noticed the change?  I am excited for graduation.

Thank you for the prayers. He graduated on the 18th and received his leave today. He will be home on the 30th.  He is on medical hold in THU until he has recovered fully and the doctors declare him fully fit.  We have truly had our Christmas wishes granted. Hope everyone has had as wonderful a Christmas as we have.

I can tell a change in my son just talking with him on the phone - we had good long talk Christmas Day.

It changes them for sure. Ours is home. My husband, son and daughter went with him to do some target practice today. I have a little while to myself. It is so good to have him home for a few days. I am already dreading Friday when he has to go back. He is so excited to be home. He has slept in for two days. He has his week planned as well. Will continue to keep yours in our prayers. So glad you were able to talk with him for a while. It does a Mom's heart good just to hear their voice. It is amazing what we can hear in their voice that others can't. Have a great day!!!

My son's PIR is also 1/13/12.  I have been trying to find information on what he is allowed to take with him when he goes to his A school.  Can anyone help me find thins information out?  Is he allowed to take his cell phone, cloths, etc.?

sharie trumble...I am not much help with that at the moment. I know after boot camp they can have their cell phones, lap tops and some civilian clothes, but how much I don't know. Good luck.

Thank you for your reply.  I will just take what he might want when we see him for PIR.  Then we will know.  Again thank you.

It doesn't seem like it should be time for another PIR. Time flies so fast. Good luck to your SR. We will be burning our blue lights and saying prayers for you.
