While there, complete your Profile so you can post and share photos and videos of your Sailor and share stories with other moms!

Join groups! Browse for groups for your PIR date, your sailor's occupational specialty, "A" school, assigned ship, homeport city, your own city or state, and a myriad of other interests. Jump in and introduce yourself! Start making friends that can last a lifetime.

OPSEC - Navy Operations Security
Always keep Navy Operations Security in mind. In the Navy, it's essential to remember that "loose lips sink ships." OPSEC is everyone's responsibility.
DON'T post critical information including future destinations or ports of call; future operations, exercises or missions; deployment or homecoming dates.
DO be smart, use your head, always think OPSEC when using texts, email, phone, and social media, and watch this video: "Importance of Navy OPSEC."

**UPDATE 4/26/2022** Effective with the May 6, 2022 PIR 4 guests will be allowed. Still must be fully vaccinated to attend.
**UPDATE as of 11/10/2022 PIR vaccination is no longer required.
**UPDATE 7/29/2021** You now must be fully vaccinated in order to attend PIR:
In light of observed changes and impact of the Coronavirus Delta Variant and out of an abundance of caution for our recruits, Sailors, staff, and guests, Recruit Training Command is restricting Pass-in-Review (recruit graduation) to ONLY fully immunized guests (14-days post final COVID vaccination dose).

What part of GA are you moving to? Are you heading to the Kings Bay area or going to Augusta or?
It makes a big difference on what we can tell you - but you will love it here. Fall is the best time of the year, it's been a very HOT summer. -

King's Bay is pretty south from us - I think it's close to a six hour drive from Atlanta. I have been down there on occassion and you will be very close to Jacksonville, FL. Wish I could offer you some solid information about the area but I have only passed thru. -

Hello... My son in law is stationed at Mayport. the first time stationed there they built a house in Kingsland.. was a good drive for him but the area was so worth it.. St Marys and Kingsland was nice really building up. alot of their neighbors was at Kings bay Great area!!!! Good Luck...

Hey Demitreana! I live in middle Georgia but have visited the GA coast a few times. While I have not been to Kings Bay, I have been to points north and south of it. Jekyll and St. Simons Islands are very pretty, with fun shops, restaurants, and neat historic areas. Fort Clinch State Park (Florida) is very cool. I must say I prefer the beaches in Fort Clinch area - you can even find sharks teeth! If you google these places you will find lots of information. I have not been to Cumberland Island but would definitely take advantage of it, being as close as you will be!!! I have heard it is gorgeous. Climate shouldn't be much different from what you are accustomed to except that you will be closer to the coast.
