Hi Ladies, I been disconnected for couple days but I'm back. My sailor is doing good and already start school. Last Thursday I was happy about my sailor birthday, but at the same time sad when I hear about "Doc". My prayers are with his Laura and her family and for all actives and fallen. God bless everyone and keep them safe!

My sailor grandson came home for the weekend and we were so thrilled to see him. We broke out the baby back ribs and had a barbeque since we won't see him for Labor Day. The whole family is so very happy that he is so close, Florida, that he can come home so often.

I will pray for those mothers who, as you have said, lost their children too soon. May God bless them and their families. I will light a candle for them at church today. And may God bless all our children and loved ones in the armed forces who protect our country.

Carolyn, it was a Military Appreciation Ceremony. You could see the "sea" of Marines and Navy in their dress blues and whites, carrying a huge flag across the field-they were in the background behind the sportscasters. It was an awesome sight-wish I could have been there to see that. But, no we could not see him individually! He said they a great time doing it and sent a picture of his two best friends with him before the game in their dress whites.
