FOLLOW THESE STEPS TO GET STARTED:

Choose your Username.  For the privacy and safety of you and/or your sailor, NO LAST NAMES ARE ALLOWED, even if your last name differs from that of your sailor (please make sure your URL address does not include your last name either).  Also, please do not include your email address in your user name. Go to "Settings" above to set your Username.  While there, complete your Profile so you can post and share photos and videos of your Sailor and share stories with other moms!

Make sure to read our Community Guidelines and this Navy Operations Security (OPSEC) checklist - loose lips sink ships!

Join groups!  Browse for groups for your PIR date, your sailor's occupational specialty, "A" school, assigned ship, homeport city, your own city or state, and a myriad of other interests. Jump in and introduce yourself!  Start making friends that can last a lifetime.

OPSEC - Navy Operations Security

Always keep Navy Operations Security in mind.  In the Navy, it's essential to remember that "loose lips sink ships."  OPSEC is everyone's responsibility. 

DON'T post critical information including future destinations or ports of call; future operations, exercises or missions; deployment or homecoming dates.  

DO be smart, use your head, always think OPSEC when using texts, email, phone, and social media, and watch this video: "Importance of Navy OPSEC."

Hello everyone!  I'm a Georgia Navy Mom, my son Jared will be graduating boot camp on June 7th (wooohooo)!!!  So glad to see that we have other Mom's in Georgia to share information with, hope everyone is doing well :)

Ohhh that 1st letter! Such memories :-). Ok, be honest - how many times have yu read it?! I think I wore the ink off mine, read it to everyone that would tolerate me!!

Hi Mary,Proud Mom of Nick! I'm doing ok, just got my first letter from Kyle....only 6 more weeks to go :) Then he's off to A school for Engineman at GL.

Welcome ProudMom, are you doing okay with out Kyle? That first week or two can be hard! What job/rate is he heading to after bootcamp?

I live in Marietta but make it up to Calhoun on occasion for the outlets :-).

Hi! I'm Bonnie and my son, Kyle just got to GL April 10th.  He graduates June 7! I live in North GA in Calhoun and he went to school at North Paulding.....and neighbors?

Is everyone using the Zip plus 4 code for your sailor's mail? Alot of the commands are trying to get that message out saying if you do not use it - they may not get your letters or packages.

It is due to cuts and the way they are handling military mail. I do not know more than that but iI know our son made a point of telling us months ago and lately I have seen three or four ships get that message out as well.

Well darn it! Seems to happen everytime we have a lunch, someone always misses it and they live right there ... We will get another one scheduled.
