We will be happy to see Mike, Steve just reminded me that he is having oral surgery on the 5th and doesn't believe he will be ready to eat or visit so I'm going to say - he probably won't make it but don't let that stop your hubbies.

Great job sailordaqgmom - I think we will be filling that room! Must ask...are people bringing hubbies?? Mine is good either way but we often have some of our men there and Missy asked this morning about hubbies.

We did hear from our son - it was 5 am in Hawaii and he was on his way back to the ship. He got off the ship at 10:30 last night... a birthday to remember! But they are going thru Insurv right now and it only happens every five years and it's a big stressor for the ship. Oh well, he knows how to roll with the punches.

Good morning all...feeling a tad sad today. It's Nick's 23rd birthday and although he has been in the Navy two years, we've always been able to talk on his birthday...not this year but I know he is fine.

For those that attending the July picnic and met Missy and Sylvester - just got an email from Missy and she will be joining us for lunch in March. She doesn't come on N4Ms but we still communicate.

I would to Welcome our New Navy Moms.Make sure you come to the meet-greet lunches. That way we can meet you. I am sure we all have something in common-the one thing is that we are supportive of our children and them being in the military. We are one big family.

Mary,
Thank you for the welcome. I would love to join you all for lunch in March. The location is within two miles of where I work so I should definitely be able to slip away from work. Thank you for the invite.I really look forward to meeting some fellow Navy moms and families. The Navy has been one of the best things that happened to Will. Major growth experience since he joined - Definitely good.
I am having some trouble manuvering this sight but am learning. Any tips would be appreciated - it may just take time...

Welcome to our newest members - so glad that you have joined us!

Congrats Beverly and enjoy your time with that NEW sailor!! It is 30 degrees warmer here than last Sunday, cannot image...snow.

Navycat --- I do think it's great that he was raised in GA and is on the USS Georgia in Kings Bay and although that is a good drive down the road, it must give you peace of mind knowing he is in the same state...when he is in the state! Perhaps you will join us for lunch in March?

Beverly,
Tell your daughter to come by the Student Life Office, Room 274 , and ask for Cat if she ever needs anything. Would love to meet her.

Hi Everyone,
I am new to this site but not new to the Navy. My son graduated boot camp June 2006 and went to NUKE School. He then graduated from NUKE school and is assigned to the USS Georgia at Kings Bay, GA. He has been there since February 08.
I live in Cartersville and work at Kennesaw State University. I would love to chat with others who have family in the Navy from GA. It was quite a coincidance that my son was assigned to the USS Georgia in Kings Bay Georgia and that he was raised in GA.
