Welcome Gabby! I'm sure your son must be excited waiting to hear what the future holds for him. For the past couple of years almost everyone signing up were entered into the DEP program (delayed entry program) so they all had waits of varying stages. For my son it was eight months wait for boot camp but they have to look at the job he is going into and the schools attached to that and connect it to a boot camp opening. Keep us posted!

I'd love to go to a mini meet and greet in March. Kennesaw would be fine with me. I live in Duluth, so it's not too far. I keep my granddaughter two days a week, but as long as I know in advance, it won't be a problem for me to arrange to meet you.

Hi ladies, had coffee with one of my favorite local Navy moms and she had on the prettiest necklace yesterday that comes with a nice certificate from attagirl.com. They can be worn as necklaces or bracelets that has charms that you can add for different events such as deployments, years of service, etc. They are available for all branches of the service and are really nice pieces for the price. Thought you might want to check it out...

Hi guys, I live at the other end of the state but all of my family live in the Kennesaw/Woodstock area, so if I'm available, I'd vote for Kennesaw, just because its my old stomping grounds and I'm due to run up to see my parents. The only snafu for me would be that my son's PIR is 2/19, so I'll have just gotten back from a long trip, and I'll have to see if the pocketbook and the workload can handle a quick trip to Atlanta. Go ahead and plan, and if I can arrange it I'll be there.

Welcome to our newest members here in GA! What a nice blessing gabby, what side of town do you live on?

Denise - what a smart thinker you are! We live in N. Atlanta area so we are many hours from your son's home. Hopefully one of our mommas in S. GA will have some suggestions. Kings Bay is very close to the Florida line.

Hey Ga. moms!!! I have eaten at both places. They are good. Atl. Bread Co. doesn't have an extra room-so that would be a little difficult trying to sit together.Just let me know the info on it. I'm ready.
