Hey moms ---- the water coming out of our faucets is looking a tinge brown to us this evening. Is anyone having water trouble from the floods? I know in Douglas Co. they are boiling their water but I have not heard about this in Cobb County. Tried calling the water department but they were gone for the day. Not drinking it at this stage.

Ohhh -- I ran over to Target this afternoon to pick up a few things and I know where ALL of Cobb County students are today!!!! The store was covered up with either high schoolers or moms with little ones wondering the aisles.

Not sure anyone was shopping per say but guess it was a good place to kill some time.

Ohh - I'm afraid to hear the weather if they are talking rain again. Last I heard it was raining in Statesboro so I'm thinking of my daughter and Barbara J. down there.

Did y'all see the house in Austell on fire? Fire trucks cannot even get to it due to the flooded roads. Hoping if this family did not have flood insurance that their fire insurance kicks in because their home is certainly gone.

Hey Kim - GA has made news all over the country. I sent Nick an email today to just say - we are okay in case he heard the news in hawaii as well but his ship is out right now so I'm not sure how much he is hearing.

Cobb County Schools will be closed again tomorrow but hubby was able to drive downtown today on 75 with no problems. But he goes in early like 5:30 am and gets out of there early too so I think he missed the parking lot.

Hi GA families - we are okay here but I checked the DOT website this morning and 189 roads in Cobb County are closed including one of the entrances to our neighborhood. Our back yard was such a lake yesterday but we were able to track down a pump at Home Depot and that probably saved our house from being flooded. Unfortunately it was the Home Depot at 575 and 92 so hubby got up there okay but then they closed 92 and Chastain and Shallowford and...the list went on and on - it took him hours to get home.

The sun is actually shining in our yard right now! Hoping it will dry some stuff up.

Peri, so sorry to hear about your daughters homes - I know they are close to us, can we help in some way?? Call me -

Good morning! Hope all of our GA families are okay today. What a storm last night, I was waiting for the roof to come off the house or at least some trees to come down. So far the house is good but I sure have a lake in my backyard now - getting worried that it may start coming into the house so calling a plumber this morning. We do have a drain in the backyard and with all this rain...no place to drain anymore.

The news is amazing this morning - schools are closing, freeways are at a standstill and boiling water if you are in Douglasville. Be safe mommas!!!

We don't have A and W near us - used to love them when we growing up in MI.

Row boats anyone? Geez what a mess it is outside.

Missy - so good to hear that Jay is settling into his new command. A + W, Krispy Kreme...geez how will he even get homesick?!!!

Wade ---- is figuring it all out, you'll be smiling at his PIR before you know it.

Danielle.............we got that rain today too. Starting to feel a tad waterlogged here.

Hope everyone is well today!
