Great weather report for the weekend! But we do have a covered pavillion reserved for the picnic so we should be in great shape either way. Hope everyone gets a chance to come out and meet everyone! Bring your photos, bring your deppers, bring your families :-)

Diane - we will be happy to see you on Saturday!

Tanya...welcome! From CT to Kings Bay is quite a difference! Although you are in GA, it might as well be Florida you are so south. We do have other GA families in the King Bay area. What part of MI are you from? We are originally from Livonia but moved to Atlanta and never leaving it!!!

Understand Florence, hoping that you can join us but I know how important the Gold Star meetings are.

I ordered the "meeting" kit that Navy4Moms is now offering and got confirmation yesterday that they have mailed it to me.............now I may need some help blowing up those balloons but name tags and such will be ready for Saturday!!!

Headcounts are always tricky Elaine. I have found in almost every gathering more turn out than what has rsvp-ed. At our last gathering I was expecting 15 -20 and almost 40 were there.

Also this site is very limited as to how the rsvp counts are done. It you look at it right now, it will show 15 members but those members are all bring guest or families members. In my case - 3 members, but I believe Irene is bring six members.

My attitude is always ...the more the merrier!!!

Just a reminder that our picnic is Saturday!!! looks like many of you have been great about using the RSVP in the Events section. If you have not RSVPed yet and think you will be attending please add yourself and guest to the list ---- I'm ordering a package from Navy4Moms with Name tags, etc..and need to let them know how many will be attending. Thanks!!
