Welcome, Mary. I live on the west side of Atlanta-not too far from you. Be careful-you might become addicted to this site. Seriously, this is a great site and you do get a lot of support, prayers, and answers to your questions here!
Congratulations, Jean!

OMG Jean...a 9 year engagement?! I so wish my daughter would consider that! Right now, I'm holding my breath that she will return to school for her junior year as she is madly in love with an Army boy. He's not a boy, I just tease him with that name...he knows this is a house of Navy! He just got orders for upstate NY and wants to get married and take her along. I want them to wait...ah ten years or so. So a nine year engagement is a beautiful thing to me! Enjoy the wedding and Best wishes to the bride and groom!

Welcome Mary H. - glad you found us and don't hold back on the questions, there is so much experience in this room.

I am so happy for you ladies that are going to be seeing your sailors after their long deployments. Homecomings ALMOST make the separations worth it. You will be very pleased with your banner from BuildASign Barbara, they do a beautiful job on them, what an awesome gift that they have provided to the military families. We expect to have our sailor home towards the end of August - if he gets leave after his C school graduation. I almost don't want him to come home as I know it will be his last visit here in a long time but I guess that can't keep him in school forever...sigh.

Hey Kat, I've run across a few weird things recently too on the site but I just try again - it's just easier sometimes than trying to figure it out!

Happy Thursday everyone.

Trish - Sprayberry is about three miles down the road from us. We are by Lassiter and one of our other local moms is from Pope...all in the neighborhood.

Good morning ladies.

Happy Father's Day to all of our great dads and welcome to our newest members!
Kathy, there are a few of us in Marietta that do get together more frequently as we live fairly close. It is usually just an informal lunch at the closest Mexican restaurant or O'Charleys but all are welcome to join us. Trish - which high school is your hubby's family from? Marietta is SO large, it's easier to pinpoint things by our high schools - we have so many in this area.

We do plan larger gatherings every month or so and always post that info here and as you can see you can always come here for some great answers.

Hey Tina, welcome to the group! What side of town are you on? Can you tell us anything about your sailor? In school, with the fleet? In boot camp? Stationed where.........
