OPSEC - Navy Operations Security

Always keep Navy Operations Security in mind.  In the Navy, it's essential to remember that "loose lips sink ships."  OPSEC is everyone's responsibility.

DON'T post critical information including future destinations or ports of call; future operations, exercises or missions; deployment or homecoming dates.

DO be smart, use your head, always think OPSEC when using texts, email, phone, and social media, and watch this video: "Importance of Navy OPSEC."

Barbara, I had just read this news as well - what a sad day for our Navy, his shipmates and certainly his family. Our prayers go out to them.

Yes, rumors are rampant and I think that always is the case with the military (and any business for that matter) but when I see it coming out of Millington - then I say...okay - real deal.

It may mean longer deployments, shorter deployments, no deployments...oh heck I guess we will just hope for the best for our Sailors!!! And you know the Navy will tell us...when we NEED to know !!! :-D
