OPSEC - Navy Operations Security

Always keep Navy Operations Security in mind.  In the Navy, it's essential to remember that "loose lips sink ships."  OPSEC is everyone's responsibility.

DON'T post critical information including future destinations or ports of call; future operations, exercises or missions; deployment or homecoming dates.

oh Wanda, my nephew is in Gulfport this week - he loves it there too. He did his A school there last year and is a reservist so he is doing his two week duty and they sent him back to Gulfport which made him happen.

He's just a couple of weeks from graduation!!! Then I suspect he will be home on leave - keep us posted if he gets orders...there is a budget issue right now and 14,000 sailors are NOT getting orders until fall. I wonder if this will impact his orders (???) See article posted in the Navy Brief on this site - this is not rumor, it is a directive out of Millington, TN.

I received a note from Michelle, on the St. Louis MO group for Navy week. I was thinking of going, but timing of visit may not work. She also told me that there might be another GA- Navy mom going. If you are the GA mom, please drop me a note. Would love to catchup!

So proud of our military! What a great job our Sailors have done in rescuing Captain Phillips for the pirates. A truly glorious Easter!
