Kristie, you can tell him he will be getting 30 paid vacation days a year - that should make him smile. Have you joined the corpsman group on this site, it's pretty active.

HEy Kristie, I think the corpsman A school is fairly long as well...how long do you expect him to be in GL?

Hey Beth, welcome to the group. Oh my, I cannot even imagine how hard the funeral was - much less that your son was his best friend and pall bearer. No wonder he is frustrated.

How long has he been attached to CV? What rate is he? I know an EM that just reported there on Sunday - perhaps we can connect them. His real job on the CV probably won't start until they are able to get underway again. Most single sailors hate sitting in the yards.

Pat - I'm not familiar with Buena Vista in GA. What are you near?

It was an ugly morning for rain but we can't even complain about it...right?!!!

What school or rate will your son be staying in GL for Kristie? Our son is in the AE/CF program and has been in school since April and STILL has three more months to go! He will be So excited to see his C school orders!

Hey to all the GA moms, hope you are safe today from the weather conditions. We had a tornado warning in Marietta before 9am but just heavy rains and winds of 30 mph. Nice to finally get some rain!

Welcome to all new members - our son has been in A school at GL since April if I can help with any questions.

Yes, Tammy I suspect those RDCs take things personal!

Tina, I would be happy to help you coordinate a N4M get together. I am going to start a NEW discussion in this forum and see if we can get the moms to post what area they are located in and perhaps we can find a common thread or meeting ground! I vote for somewhere in Metro Atlanta but will be flexible.
