Can't believe I missed a local gathering right here in Marietta! Smack me, my travel schedule and my granddaughter keep me busy so I am not on here often enough so I am so sorry to have missed it.
I did stop by today because we are in the process of organzing a lunch for August 18th! This one will be located @ J. Christophers in John's Creek, we had hosted one last year at this location and the turnout and service was fantastic so please think about joining us again.
I am posting it in Events for August 18th from 12 - 2 pm. We do need everyone to RSVP so the restaurant can be prepared for our headcount.
I think many folks have migrated over to facebook so I don't come to N4Ms too often but would love to hear from each of you. There is a "closed" group on facebook called GA Navy Families, if you would like to join us there - we'd love to see you. Just let Irene or myself know - I am not even sure who started that group but all are welcome!!!
Katlanta - thank you for organizing the meet and greet today. It was a pleasure to see other Moms and Dad. Matthew and I really enjoy the time with you all and looking forward to the next one. - China:-))

Hi Jordandsmom! Welcome! My son is in BC and has PIR 8/3. Hang in there. It's usually a little rough the first 2-3 weeks until you hear from them. The time will fly by before you know it once you get the 1st "real"phone call & his letters.
Welcome to the group Jordansmom! Make sure you join the bootcamp group. It's there that you will get most of your information and once your son gets assigned a ship and div. number, a separate group will be formed for that.
Hi Georgia Moms. My son just left for boot camp on Tues, July 17. I live in Athens. Does anyone here have a child in boot camp now?
