Chinadoll19...good to hear from you. Glad she is excited.

Susan...Patience is what we have been saying to him as well. It is hard, though. I appreciate all the encouragement I have gotten here. It is wonderful to have such a support system. Haven't heard from him since he left on the 6th. Hoping to hear from him this weekend. He was to begin some intensive therapy this week. He is excited though I think.  Thank you for the encouraging words.

Brentsmom, You sure do have your hands full.Gee, major back surgery for your daughter. I wish her all the best for a speedy recovery!!!

Paces, our youngest son is in Special OPS too with the Air Force. He has had a few of his friends on the injury list. It is very hard for these very smart determined physical guys to be on an injury list b/c once they start fully training with their Unit, they want to stick with them as they all become "One Family". It does take a lot of time & the military makes sure they are "Fully" healed before starting them up again. But, if they remain very patient, they will get back to their original training. But in these cases "Patience has to be a Virtue". I wish him all the luck for a speedy recovery as well!

Brentsmom... Wow!! Back surgery and already home. Isn't modern medicine amazing these days.  I am so glad all is progressing well for you. We will keep all of you in our prayers.

Ours left on Friday to go back to GL. He was in such good spirits while he was here. He was a little sad when it came time to go back. I think a lot is the uncertainty of where he stands with his contract and his recovery, although he seems to be progressing well. It is so hard sometimes to have the patience to wait.

Susan...So glad you are adjusting to your new surroundings and at Christmas at that. You don't know how empty the house is until one is missing. It was such a good feeling to have everyone here.

Happy New year.

My son just turned 22 on Saturday the 7th and the day before his ship left dock for a few weeks.  My daughter had major back surgery on Friday the 6th the same day he left but he did call real quick as leaving to talk to his sister just before she went under.  He called again last night from ocean unknown to check on her, made me really see how much he has grown up.  Thank you NAVY!

We are home and she is doing good but still in a lot of pain, but getting around just fine.

A Happy New Year To All!!! Well, just being "new" to this area, I sure did find a lot of places "shop" & things to do around here getting ready for the Holiday. Both our sons made it for the "1st" time to our new GA home for a couple of days over New Years weekend. It was great to be with them both.

Happy New Year to you as well.  Ours is finally home for a few days. He has to go back on Friday, but we are enjoying every minute. He and his brother are off together now. It is going to be a great week!!!
